Our Position on the King James Bible

In today’s world, there are hundreds of Bible translations available. At our church, we use the King James Version (KJV), as we believe it is the most accurate English translation for modern readers. We recognize that others may hold different views, and we respect those differences. If you have any questions about our position, we warmly invite you to reach out.

We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God—without error, fully trustworthy, and breathed out by God Himself. These Scriptures are the final authority for faith and life. We affirm that God guided holy men to record His Word in the original manuscripts, known historically as the Textus Receptus (Received Text), and that He has faithfully preserved His Word for every generation (Psalm 12:6-7).

Because of God’s promise to preserve His Word, we hold that the King James Version is the only English translation derived solely from the preserved Textus Receptus. For this reason, we are committed to using the KJV in our public ministry and church services (Matt. 5:18; John 16:12-17; II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21).

Finally, we wish to clarify that we do not believe in “double inspiration.” Our conviction is rooted in God’s preservation of His Word, not in a second act of inspiration.
